1. Services
The owner named above ("Owner") engages Wolf Creek Bird Dogs, Traer, Iowa ("Wolf Creek"), to board and/or train the dog named above ("Dog") in the program selected. Training methods, schedules and pace are at Wolf Creek's professional discretion and built around the individual dog.
2. No guarantee of results
Every dog is different. Wolf Creek will use its best efforts but does not guarantee any specific training outcome, finish date, or performance in the field, at trials, or at hunt tests.
3. Assumption of risk
Owner understands that field training and boarding involve inherent risks, including but not limited to: work in open terrain, tall cover, water and changing weather; exposure to live birds, blank and live gunfire, and other dogs; running, swimming, retrieving and travel; illness, injury, heat or cold stress, snake or wildlife encounters, cuts, punctures, and in rare cases loss or death. Owner voluntarily accepts these risks on behalf of Owner and Dog.
4. Release & hold harmless
To the fullest extent permitted by Iowa law, Owner releases, and agrees to hold harmless and indemnify, Wolf Creek and its owners, trainers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from the services, except those caused by Wolf Creek's gross negligence or willful misconduct. Owner is responsible for any injury or damage Dog causes to people, animals, or property.
5. Health & emergency veterinary care
Owner certifies Dog is current on Rabies, DHPP and Bordetella, is on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and has no undisclosed health or behavior issues. If Dog needs medical care, Wolf Creek will try to reach Owner and Owner's veterinarian first. If they cannot be reached in time, Owner authorizes Wolf Creek to obtain care from a licensed veterinarian of its choosing, and Owner agrees to pay all resulting costs. Dogs arriving with fleas, ticks or signs of contagious illness may be treated or refused at Owner's expense.
6. Payment & cancellation
The first month is paid in full at intake to reserve Dog's spot. Following months are billed at the start of each month. Programs listed "starting at" are finalized after evaluation; any difference is invoiced before it is charged. Cancellation more than 14 days before drop-off: refunded less card processing fees. Within 14 days: credited toward a future program. Once training begins, the current month is non-refundable.
7. Pick-up
Owner agrees to pick up Dog on the agreed date. Boarding past that date is charged at the current nightly rate. If Dog is not picked up within 14 days after written notice to Owner, Dog may be treated as abandoned to the extent allowed by Iowa law.
8. Photos & video
Wolf Creek sends training photos and video to Owner. Use on Wolf Creek's website and social media is covered by the separate opt-in below.
9. Entire agreement
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Iowa. Owner confirms that Owner is 18 or older, is the legal owner (or authorized agent) of Dog, and that the information in this form is true and complete. A typed name and drawn signature below are Owner's electronic signature.
